Managing Locations
Locations represent the physical places your client's brand operates. Each location gets its own health score and monitoring.
Importing locations via CSV
The fastest way to add locations is via CSV import. Go to Location Pulse → Locations and click Import CSV.
Download the template to get the correct column format. The only required column is name - all others are optional but recommended for accurate monitoring.
CSV columns
| Column | Required | Example |
|---|---|---|
name | Yes | Downtown Austin |
address | No | 123 Main St |
city | No | Austin |
state | No | TX |
zip | No | 78701 |
country | No | US |
google_place_id | No | ChIJ... |
Import behavior
- Rows without a
namevalue are skipped - A preview of the first 10 rows is shown before confirming the import
- Locations are created in the currently selected client's workspace
- Duplicate names are allowed (some brands have multiple locations with similar names)
International support
The country column supports any country code. Rankup is not limited to US locations - you can manage locations in any country. Holiday data and census data integrations are currently US-only, but core monitoring works globally.
Google Place IDs
If you have Google Place IDs for your locations, include them in the CSV. This enables direct integration with Google Business Profile for review ingestion. You can find Place IDs using Google's Place ID Finder.
